Psychological educational assessment
Psychological educational assessment aims to identify and strengths and challenges in various domains of functioning including cognitive (IQ), scholastic, social- emotional and sensory- motor. These assessments can also identify learning and developmental disorders such as ADHD, autism, reading and writing challenges.
School readiness assessments
This area of assessment aims to determine the child’s readiness to engage and benefit from formal, early education. The assessment focuses on the cognitive developmental, social and behavioral development of the child necessary to engage in early formal learning.
Subject choice assessment
Subject choice assessments aim to provide insight into the personality interest, career knowledge and values of the client, necessary to make the best suited future schooling and career choices.
Career assessments
Career assessments are tools designed to help individuals gain insight into their personality, interests, values and skills. This information will assist the client to understand how these aspects influence the success and satisfaction in different careers.
Concessions/ accommodation assessments
The aim of these assessments are to determine if an individual requires specific support during formal assessments. The support or accommodations will help the learner to reach his/ her full potential. The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) as well as the Independent Examination Board (IEB) require an accommodation and concession assessment report with relevant recommendations in order to grant the learner with the necessary accommodations or concessions.
